Demonstrating leadership in environmental protection by being a green company through:
☑ Protection
Sabin International Logistics Corporation, Sabin’s transportation affiliate, safely moves both hazardous and non-hazardous industrial wastes to our zero-discharge facilities where we extract value and produce harmless products that can be safely disposed.
☑ Planning
Sabin Metal Corporation continuously works to adapt to a changing environmental regulatory framework and remains at the forefront of environmentally sound corporate and industrial practices. Mr. Andrew Sabin, chairman and the owner of Sabin Metal Corporation, supports the empowerment of future generations of environmentally conscious advocates. The Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School trains law students to fight against policies and practices causing climate change and to develop environmentally sound regulations. The Center also provides the public with up-to-date resources on key topics in environmental law and regulation. As President of the Andrew Sabin Family Foundation (“ASFF”), Mr. Sabin serves on the environmental law advisory boards at Columbia Law School and UCLA School of Law.
☑ Prevention
Mr. Sabin believes that education is critical in preventing mankind’s abuse of our planet. A key focus of the ASFF is making grants which support the environment. One of the most successful grants has been working with the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies to provide scholarships to students from underdeveloped nations in their second-year master’s program. This grant has the added incentive for the students upon graduating to receive additional financial support should they return to their home country and work on environmental issues. ASFF also makes an annual prize awarded through the Center of Business and Environment at Yale for an environmentally sustainable business venture.
