Sabin Metal Corporation is a full-service, primary precious metal refiner. We reclaim precious metals from scrap sources for our customers and refine those metals to produce fine silver, gold and platinum group metals and salts. We also refine rhenium to return it as ammonium perrhenate to catalyst manufacturers’ specifications. Our sales force covers the world from sales offices in the U.S., Mexico/Latin America, Asia/Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
Sabin’s main processing facility is located in Scottsville, New York. A wide variety of materials are processed at this facility, including carbon-based catalysts, photographic materials, electronics and plating solutions…just to name a few. In addition, the Scottsville facility houses the fine metal refinery, which produces market grade precious metals from the output of all three plants, as well as the corporate settlement assay laboratory.
Sabin Metal West Corp. (SMWC) in Williston, North Dakota is dedicated specifically to processing ceramic supported catalysts, primarily from the petroleum, petrochemical and chemical industries. The plant provides pre-treatment services by means of three indirect fired rotary kilns as well as state of the art sampling facilities for all forms of ceramic supported catalyst such as soluble and insoluble alumina, alumino-silicate, silica, zeolite, etc. Two electric arc furnaces complete the precious metals recovery at this 12 million pounds per year facility.
SMC (Canada) Ltd., our McAlpine Mill site in Cobalt, Ontario reprocesses furnace slags to recover trace amounts of metals. This plant processes all of the furnace slags from the Scottsville and Williston facilities as well as slags from outside customers in the secondary precious metal and brass industries. The mill also provides bulk sampling facilities for the Canadian gold mining industry. Three gravity and froth flotation circuits are available providing capacities of 7 tons per day, 25 tons per day and 200 tons per day respectively. Sabin Canada conducts full environmental monitoring including field sampling and reporting on a regular basis to comply with the monitoring schedules as set out by both the Provincial and Federal Canadian Governments.
